Sorry to be so late in replying to this thread about the Philhower
notebooks. I have not actually seen them, but I understand that they are
more like a compilation of newspaper clippings than genealogy tree
structures. One set of the books did go to the Mormon Family History
Center in Salt Lake City. The title there is "Genealogy of the Philhower
family". It is available on microfilm at local Family History Centers:
microfilm reel 2055397 items 1-3. The listing indicates an Index in vol.
3. That sounds more like trees than clippings.

I have been in contact with Mary Robertson, but not recently. I do not
believe that the "Who's Who in the Philhower Family" is part the
notebooks . Mary said that some people who gave information to Elizabeth
Philhower Haycock did not want their information published, but did
agree to having the FHC archive it. I attended the 2001 & 2002 Philhower
family reunions in Califon, New Jersey and asked about Part I - the
historian had Part II but did not know about Part I. (At each reunion
there was a notebook of clippings displayed that someone accumulated in
the previous year.)

There is a Philhower CD for sale by Pat Hill but his web pages are gone.
I will email him and check up on him.
