I checked there because you mentioned Washington, NJ, and Jan covers a ton of
records for Warren, and a few for Hunterdon Co.. Using her search engine,
there were 75 documents for PARK, 13 for PARKE, and a whopping 175 documents for
ALLEN. I also recall a lot of both the Park and Allen names from when a group
of us completed an Index for "The Beers Atlas for Warren Co., 1874"...Jan has
both the Index and scanned images of the Atlas on her site. I know that the
name appeared in the Mansfield, Port Colden and Anderson areas, which are all
quite near the Hunterdon border...those folks didn't really consider the county
line much...married, born and buried on both sides of the Musconetcong River.
