There are several references to a George Lacy but they all are as follows

To George Lacy for Crying the above Vendue, usually paid about 2 pounds

This is related to inquisitions of the Loyalists in Hunterdon Co. during the
Rev. War. The records appear to be in 1779. He was providing some kind of
service for which he was paid. I don't see an explanation in the book about
what this means. p. 230, 251, 254, 255 & 259

There is no other information about him in the book.

Maybe someone else knows what this means.
