Just a couple of additons and corrections. One thing that may interest
you is that there was a question as to whether Andrew Sherman had two wives
or three wives---- I had been given information that he had married sisters,
namely Elizabeth Jardine and Mary Jardine.
Actually they are one and the same. The marriage license for the
state (obtained from the archives in Trenton), gives the bride's name as Elizabeth
Ann JARDINE.
The records of the Kingwood M.E. Church (same day, same groom)gives
the bride's name as Mary JARDINE. Her children's birth certificates (the two
that I have in my possession) both give her name as Mary A. or Mary Ann. Her
death certificate and her tombstone both say Mary A.
Their daughter was actually named Estella, though she was known as
Stella, and her dob was 21 July 1892 according to her birth certificate which I
am reading from right now. She died in 1960 in Trenton and is buried in
Ewing Cemetery, Ewing Township, Mercer Co, NJ.
Wallace's birthdate is correct . He died in 1977 and is buried in
Cherryville Baptist Cemetery.
Allan was married to Bertha HIGGINS. Wallace was married to Laura
Ruth CASE, and Estella was married to one Franklin C. TAYLOR.
