Thanks. I can identify the Davenports buried there. I've been there and
taken some pictures. John is my great grandfather. The Nixon Burying
Grounds is a different cemetery. I don't know exactly where it is located
but I do know it is also in Hunterdon County. I want to get there to get a
picture of Samuel & Lucinda's stone if there is one and if it is still
legible.

There are several links to Hunterdon Cemeteries on the NJ Hunter website.
This is one for the Locust Grove Cemetery which I believe was also called
the Nixon Burying Grounds at one time.

Hi Marfy,
Thanks for your reply. I do know that John had at least one child, Lucinda
Myers. She died in Quakertown on 17 Mar 1897 at the age of 79 yrs, 3 mos,
27 days which makes her birth in Dec 1817.
Lucinda married Samuel Davenport in Jan 1840.
Samuel & Lucinda had 8 children that I have been able to determine one of
whom was my great grandfather, John Wesley Davenport, born in 1843. John is
buried in Locust Grove Cemetery. Samuel and Lucinda are buried in Nixon
Ford burying ground. Since Samuel & Lucinda were married by the pastor of
the Methodist Episcopal Church in Quakertown and are buried in the area I
tend to think that there lives were based there. Do you know where I might
be able to access the records of either that cemetery or that church? I
really think that I might be able to find some of their family information
if I could locate these records.
I'm trying to determine Samuel's parentage now that I have Lucinda's. I
know that I am on the Humphrey Davenport line from DNA testing but haven't
found the link.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Gary, Marfy, and any one else interested,
I recently discovered that I, too, am a descendant of Albertus Myers.
Not through Cornelius but through another son, John, born 8 Jan 1789,
died 16 May 1879, who married Elizabeth Fox on 7 Mar 1814. I was
wondering if you had any additional information on John's line.
Carol
Dear Carol,
It's funny, but I've got nothing on his family other than what you
recited in your email. He bought and sold land in Hunterdon up to 1841,
then seems to disappear. I don't think he has an estate in the Hunterdon
Surrogate's court either. I assume he is one of the many migrants from
Hunterdon County.
