Hi,all Here is some material that I have on the Rittenhouses in New
Jersey in connection with my Bray family.
From Abstracts of Wills, New Jersey State Library : Will of Daniel Bray
(died 1819, Kingwood, NJ) wife Mary (Wolverton). sons Jonathan, John of
Philadelphia, Andrew, Wilson, Daniel; daughters Elizabeth Rittenhouse,
Delilah Rittenhouse, Hannah Blackwell, Susan Bray; grandchildren Daniel and
Edward Rittenhouse.
From Rowland ( don't have book title). Sarah Rittenhouse married Andrew Bray
(will of 1839) They had four sons (page 48) Sylvanus b. 1815, Daniel b.
1818, Elisha b. 1818, Anderson (or Andrew) b. 1828.Also, page 48, Rachel
Rittenhouse married John Bray in 1799. Page 54, Edward Rittenhouse married
Elizabeth Bray (b. Jan 24, 1775, d. Aug. 14, 1845), daughter of Captain
Daniel and Mary Wolverton Bray. Jonathan Rittenhouse married Elizabeth's
sister Delilah Bray (b. Feb. 1777, d. Dec. 3, 1857).
