Dear Kathie and Helen,
As to the marriage of Cornelius and Sarah, the date I have is 30 Jul
1803, not 23 Feb. I got my date from Deats' HC Marriages; they were
married by Hough, JP (Bk 1 pg 70).
I have 8 children in that family (Catherine 1803, Bernice 1804, Anna
1805, Cornelius 1807, Peter 1808, Sarah Ann 1809, William 1811, Asher
1812).
Helen, thank you--I did not have a death date for either Catherine or
John. You write that they were buried in Locktown. Was that in the
Christian Church cemetery? I don't have them on my list for the Baptist
cemetery.
And here is an example of the confusing Williamsons. I have the father
Cornelius as the son of Samuel and Eleanor Williamson, not Cornelius. In
1807 there were 3 Cornelius Williamsons taxed in Amwell on large farms.
Perhaps one of the Williamson family researchers can help us out.
Sarah Hoppock (19 Jan 1779-9 Oct 1813) was the daughter of Peter Hoppock
(c.1733 Amwell-bef Sep 1809 Lebanon) and Catharine Dalrymple (no dates).
Peter was christened 10 Jun 1733 in the Readington Reformed Church, the
son of Jost & Geertje Hoppock. Actually, I think Peter had two wives,
and I'm not sure if Catharine was the one who had all his children.
Second wife was Ann Hummer.

Hi Kathie,
I have a file on this family unit, and will be happy to share. Give me a
half day to dig everything up and I will get back to you. I can tell you
now
that Catharine's parents were Cornelius Williamson (1771-1835) and Sarah
Hoppock (1779-1813), who were married 23 Feb 1803, in Hunterdon County,
NJ.
Cornelius and Sarah had six children that I know of, Catharine being the
oldest. Catharine died 03 Dec 1891, in Delaware Twp., Hunterdon County,
and
her husband, John Buchanan, died 05 Aug 1890, same place. They are both
buried in Locktown.
Catharine's father, Cornelius, was the son of Cornelius and Bernice
(unknown) Williamson, and the older Cornelius was the son of William and
Patience (Hull) Williamson. I do have siblings, dates, and sources, but
will
need to access my main computer for that.
Helen
