I have a Carhart, Elizabeth. She was born March 3, 1789, died Jan. 25, 1832.
She married John Eckel. She's buried in the Mt. Pleasant Protestant
Cemetery. I no nothing else about her. If anyone else has this line, I would be glad
to know what you have on this family. Maryann
Maryann:
I also have Elizabeth Carhart with the same date of birth, but a different
date of death. I have her dying Jan 25, 1847. I believe I got this
information from the Chamberlain "Early Germans" book but I have no information on
John Eckel either. The Carhart line is in this source going back to Anthony in
England. I have no children for them as I have done very little research on
this line because it is a collateral line to several other of my collateral
lines.
I didn't have her place of burial which you just now provided, but before I
enter it I need to know in what tow or township Mt. Pleasant Protestant
Cemetery is located. I would like to know where you got the 1832 date for her year
of death. What are your sources?
What is your relationship to the Carhart-Eckel branch? Do you have any of
her children and if so I would like to have her lineage so I can update my
records and bring her line down to the present.
