No Youngs at all, much less your Catherine. Lots of Sutphens but not your Ralphie. There is this Ralph, who died at Hope College. Hope is a Reformed college and is still operational. Lots of Dutch Reformed kids go there. This is from the book, page 153:

Dr. Sutphen - for he was made a Littl. D. by Rutgers College a few years ago - was born near Millstone in 1854, and was the son of Ralph Terhune Sutphen and Sarah French, both of whom are deceased. He graduated at Rutgers in the class of 1875, and later was given the degree of A.M. He was ill for several months before his death, which occurred Dec. 14, 19911, of a complication of diseases; in fact early in the 1911 school year he was compelled to give up his classes at Hope because of his serious ill health. During last summer the Council of the College gave him a leave of absence for one year, but he could not take advantage of it by leaving home and he slowly went down to the grave, mourned by all who knew him and beloved by a host of those who had been taught by him. His surviving family is his widow, a Miss Martha Watson, formerly of Trenton, NJ and two sons, James Walton and John Ralph, aged respectively fourteen and three years. A brother, Peter L., is now residing !

JACOB SUTPHEN and MARY SUTPHEN. He was born Abt. 1801 in East Amwell Twp.
Hunterdon Co., N.J., and died 27 Jan 1880 in Hillsborough Twp. Somerset Co.,
N.J..
