This kind of defeats the purpose of the email list. Many people find additional, and sometimes
unknown, relatives that appear in an answer to another name. Posting requests and having the
replies posted allows all readers to see all the names. It also allows both the request and reply
to be archived as all traffic on this list is archived.
If you want to cut down on the number of email messages you receive, may I suggest that you
subscribe to the digest version of the list. Digests, which are a compendium of all messages, are
sent on whenever there are enough messages or every couple of days.
