Hi all,
Below is the Joshua & Elizabeth DAVIS brood that Hazel Sheehan has. I exchanged e-mails with her last night and she told me that she had gotten the birthdates from another researcher who had seen the since-lost DAVIS Bible (which, we realize, calls the data into question, but some of the dates have worked out through research, so who knows?)
1.Hannah DAVIS b. 29 Apr 1763
2.William DAVIS b. 23 Dec 1764
3.Sarah DAVIS b. 23 Feb 1767
4.Prudence DAVIS b. 26 Apr 1769
5.Joshua DAVIS b. 21 Jul 1771
6.Samuel DAVIS b. 24 Oct 1773 d. young
7.Joseph DAVIS b. 10 Jan 1776
8.Isaac DAVIS b. 10 Mar 1778
9.Samuel DAVIS b. 17 Jun 1780
10.Elizabeth DAVIS b. 21 Sep 1782
11.Thomas DAVIS b. 06 Oct 1784
12.Mary DAVIS b. 29 May 1786
13.Anne DAVIS b. 03 Jan 1789
14.John DAVIS b. 03 Mar 1790
Hazel has been at this for 40 years, and has uncovered no further data for William, Sarah, Prudence, Joshua, nor the 1st Sam'l. Perhaps since they were adults by the mid-1790's, when the others migrated to Columbia Co. PA, they stayed behind in Hunterdon.
Happy hunting-

Fuller,
Hmmm, although there are some problems with that William, it is
certainly worth looking into. The William I need had a daughter, Charity, b. 1800,
and possibly a son, Gidion, b. abt 1795 so the dates could fit.
The problem - and I may be confused - is if William's parents were
Joshua and Elizabeth Davis and they moved to Columbia Co in the mid 1790's where
were Charity and Gidion born and how did they both end up in Bucks Co, PA?
Your suggestion certainly bears some study and I am grateful to you for
the information. Thanks.
Diane in CO
