Hi Pam,

Garret Dorland/Durling was baptized on January 28, 1768 according to the
Harlingen Church Records. They had 8 children:

1. John Durland, born February 21, 1798 in Harlingen, New Jersey; died April
10, 1883 in Hillsborough, NJ; Adopted child (as reported in the Dorland
Book). Married Elizabeth Huff
2. Abraham Durland, born 1802 in Harlingen, New Jersey; died 1880 in
Somerset Co., NJ. Married Mary Wells
3. Hilch (Hiley) Durland, born 1804 in Harlingen, New Jersey; died July 19,
1879. Married Benjamin Bush
4. Gerret Durland, born June 16, 1806 in Harlingen, New Jersey; died
February 13, 1876 in Somerville, NJ. Married Elizabeth Kipp
5. Elizabeth Ann Durland, born June 10, 1809 in Harlingen, New Jersey; died
1836. Married James Docherty
6. Samuel Davis Durland, born September 25, 1815. No further information
(may or may not be the same as #8-conflicting information)
7. Agnes Durland, born 1822 in Harlingen, New Jersey; died September 28,
1874. Married John H. Saums
8. Samuel Davis Durland, born September 25, 1825 in Harlingen, New Jersey;
died June 12, 1903 in New Jersey. Married Helena Cray

I have a Garret D. Bush born February 9, 1845 son of #3 Hilch Durland and
Benjamin Bush. Is this the same Garrett Durling Bush that married Jane Emma
Gray?

One BIG question? Could your Daniel GRAY be Daniel CRAY? I have a Daniel
CRAY b. abt. 1816 married to an Elizabeth <unknown> b. abt. 1822 that has a
daughter Jane E. Cray b. abt. 1847. This could very easily be the same
family.

This Daniel Cray I have been trying to connect to my Cray line for a few
years now. The Helena Cray that married #8 Samuel Davis Durland could be a
cousin or a sister to this Daniel Cray. I have 6 children for Daniel Cray:
Rebecca Cray born abt. 1842
JANE E. CRAY born abt. 1847
Sarah F. Cray born 1849
Daniel Webster Cray b. 1851 married to Susan Whitehead
Eveline Cray b. 1853 married to Thomas Van Nest
Susan Cray b. 1854

I have a large amount of descendents for Garrett Dorland/Durling and Mary
Davis, however I don't have any info specifically on Garret Durling Bush who
married Jane Emma Gray/Cray(?). I would appreciate any info you have on this
couple and the Gray/Cray possibility.

Are there any Hoagland researchers who recognize this name---Letta
Hoagland-- who married Daniel Gray probably in Hillsborough Twp, Somerset or
Raritan Twp, Hunterdon Co. before 1842? They had a daughter, Jane Emma
Gray, b. July 1842, who married Garrett Durling Bush about 1875 in
Hillsborough Twp.

Is anyone researching the Durling family, specifically Garrett Durling b. 28
Jan 1768 who married Mary Davis, 23 Feb. 1800, residing in Harlingen,
Somerset Co?
