Seeking ANY document to connect David Stout with his son Freegift Stout,
b. 1693. "Stout and Allied Families", and Stillwell's "Historical and
Genealogical Miscellany" all state Freegift is a son of David Stout, but
no documentation is cited. I've gone through the earliest Hunterdon Co,
NJ deeds on microfilm numerous times, and can't locate any deeds from
David Stout to any of his children, Freegift, James, David, Joseph,
Benjamin, Rebecca, or Deliverance.
If David Stout died intestate, there should still be an inventory and
court proceedings to dispose of property he died seized of. Any
suggestions how to go about locating intestate proceedings in early
1730's? NJ State Archives was not able to help. Or maybe someone on this
list has a Bible Record of the David Stout Family? Thank you for any and
all suggestions!
