Subject: Hunt family -- help?!?

Hi...
New subscriber here... I'm grasping at straws for help to put together a
line I've been researching for almost 30 years...
My earliest _proven_ ancestor is Daniel Hunt, who died in 1822 in Greene
Co. PA. He was born in NJ prob. ca. 1750 and married Elizabeth ___, who
survived him. He had three children who were mentioned in his will,
William (m. Sarah Sparlin, my line), John (m. Sarah Clay), and a
daughter Alle, plus an unknown daughter who m. a Thompson and had a son
Enoch Thompson (also mentioned in Daniel's will).
So much for what I _know_. I'd suspected for years that Daniel was from
the Ralph Hunt (of Hunterdon Co. NJ) line, but have never been able to
fit him in. Then about two weeks ago, a distant cousin sent me some
information from a totally different Hunt family, including what looks
like the best lead I've had in decades -- there was a Daniel Hunt, of
Somerset Co. NJ, b. ca. 1722, who m. Catlyntie ___ and had (among eight
children) a son Daniel christened in the Dutch Reformed Church in
Harlingen in 1756.
The same cousin sent me -- no sources, he "found it online" -- a
marriage for this Daniel to "Elesebet ___" on 4 Dec. 1774. There was no
place given, nor a maiden name. As I know that "my" Daniel married
Elizabeth ___, this looks like it may be what I'm looking for. The
problem is, as far as I can tell, the marriage didn't take place in
either Harlingen or Neshanic, the two towns where the older Daniel's
children were christened.
Apparently Daniel Sr. (m. Catlyntie) also had a son, Jacob, who m. Nancy
___ (possibly Delaney) and had several children who were born in
Readington Twp., Hunterdon Co., NJ. This has led me to wondering if
Jacob's brother Daniel Jr. (m. Elesebet or Elizabeth) may not have also
been married in Hunterdon Co. Is there anyone on the list who might
have access to Hunterdon Co. marriage records, and might be able to find
out if there was a Daniel Hunt who m. Elesebet ___ in Dec. of 1774?
A couple of pieces of circumstantial evidence that leads me to believe
that this Daniel Jr. (b. 1756) is probably mine: his brother Jacob
ended up in Fayette Co. PA right around the time that "my" Daniel showed
up in Greene Co. PA, right next door; and "my" Daniel had a daughter
named Alle -- Jacob named a daughter "Alchey" and the eldest child of
Daniel Sr. & Catlyntie (and thus Daniel Jr. & Jacob's eldest sibling)
was named "Altie." With an unusual name like that, it seems like too
much of a coincidence that they're not related.
Can anyone help? I have much more on this family if anyone would be
interested.
Thanks for _any_ help...
