Jack and Jeff,
I have a Peter Snyder who married my paternal grandmother's sister. He would have been born about 1890 or so. Her name was Alena Kitchin. They supposedly ran or owned a hotel in Lambertville until his death. He left with many people owing him money that couldn't be collected so she took their four young daughters and moved to Elkheart, Indiana. After the girls were raised they all ended up back east in the Philadelphia area. I have never been able to find out anything about Peter or his family.

This is a particularly difficult family (the Snyders, anyway). I've looked
in the folder at the Historical Society and taken a few notes, but much of
the info is contradictory. I've been trying to tie in my William Snyder for
years!
