Yes and some families would go to church on one side of the Delaware and
live on the otherside, or live on one side and marry on the other with
marriage notices in the Easton papers when they lived in NJ. This makes for
great confusion. This is the case with my Lefler/Loeffler family in the
1700s-they may even have lived on an island.
