Bob,
I know very little about the Cozad family other than what my
daughter-in-law's family tells me. I know that they were from the NJ and PA area. I will ask
what else they know of their family and the relationship to the railway. As
for Mary Cassatt, I only know her from teaching art history for years, as a
woman from a wealthy PA family who chose to live in Paris and work as an artist.
She was a friend of Degas and was instrumental in collecting impressionist
art and promoting it to her American friends. I had no idea she was related to
the Cozad family until I read some of the emails posted here. I do believe
that her families' wealth came from the railroad but will check.
