Aug. 1787 at Six Mile Run Ch.; d 1 Apr. 1873.
She m PETER
SPADER and lived near New Brunswick, N. J. He
was b 29 Sept.
1785; d 9 Sept. 1855. They had 3 chil.
Peter Spader, son of John Spader, was born in
Middlebush; went to New Brunswick in 1797 as a
clerk to John Bray, one of the most prominent
merchants in that city. He remained with Bray
until he became a partner in 1805. He afterwards
engaged in the drygoods and grocery business in a
building that then stood opposite the State Bank
in Albany Street, until 1816, when he built on the
corner of George and Church Streets, where he
remained and continued the business until 1830,
when he was appointed Cashier of the State Bank,
which position he filled until 1841, when he
retired from business. He was Treasurer of the
First Reformed Dutch Church for thirty years, and
of Rutgers College for the same length of time. He
was a ready penman, a reliable financier, and for
upright dealing enjoyed the respect and confidence
of the public in a remarkable degree. The only
civil offices he ever held were those of Chosen
Freeholder and Alderman of the City of New
Brunswick. The son, P. Van Derbelt Spader, owned
and occupied the house after the death of his
father.
Nellie had 3 chil.: JAMES VOORHEES SPADER, b 2
Oct. 1825; d 12 Nov. 1871; PETER VANDERBELT
SPADER, and JACQUES VOORHEES SPADER.

I don't know who Nellie QUICK was but I have seen
the QUICK and GULICK
surname interchanged on occasion. Maybe a lead.
