Another family from Hunterdon who went to NY's Finger lakes abt 1818 were
the family of Philip LEFLER/Leffler b. 1782 and Mary DILTS b. 1785. Their
family married BIRD/SWICK/COVERT/GOULD/VANNORSTAND in Seneca County,NY. DNA
testing showed 12 for 12 between this Lefler line and the line(my line) of
Christopher Lefler b. 1791(Oxford) s/o John and Mary Lefler of
Greenwich/Oxford who settled in Tioga Co,Pa, in 1825. This latter family is
also the family of Jeremiah and Ann Lefler ROLOSON of Oxford(1780s) whose
desc. also went to the Finger lakes. I seek proof of some kind or degree
that the family of Peter Lefler b. 1776,NJ, m Rebecca Pross and found in
Chemung CO,NY, in 1810 , is the father of LARISON LEFLER with whom they
lived in Bradford CO,Pa, abt 1850, in order to find proof that this Peter is
a close relative of my Christopher and of Philip-which we have no strong
evidence of at all at this time but feel surely is the case. Thus I seek the
descendency of Larison Lefler b. NJ abt 1812. These Peter Lefler people
lived next to the LARISON and RIGHTMIRE and BURT families in Bradford
Co,Pa.throughout the 1800s. My latest effort is to find Charles Lefler's
family who is the son of Larison Lefler Jr and b in 1898. He was single and
in Queens,NY, with two sisters in 1930. Looking for the dna test
possibility. Bob Lefler----- Original Message -----
