Hello List!

I've been watching the recent posts regarding the movement of people from
Hunterdon Co to other states namely Pennsylvania and New York with great
interest because it sort of mimics what may have happened in my family. I
believe my Boss' may have originated in Hunterdon Co. but so far I lack any
proof.

For some time now I have researching William Boss born approx. 1825 or 1826
in Pennsylvania. His father according to one census record was born in New
Jersey. He is related to a Gilbert Boss born in NY. Gilbert, I believe, is
from Wayne Co. NY but has lived in Mercer Co. NJ (1850) with William, Tioga
Co PA (1860) and Allegany Co NY (1870). He may have a brother, George W.
The interesting thing about this group of Boss' is that they did mill work
as a millwright or with the fanning for mills.

I further information would be appreciated
