Does anyone please know of the parentage of James BESSEY who married Ann
HAYNE at Felmingham in 1786? In the 1780s he was buying property in Gt
Yarmouth & at the time of both his marriage & death he was described as
a merchant of Gt Yarmouth. A son William Henry BESSEY ( 1795-1867)
helped to found the shipowning & coalmerchant firm ultimately known as
Bessey & Palmer. Any help gratefully received.
