My gggrandmother Ann FISH married Jonathan HARWOOD in Seething in 1799. I have
not done any serious research on the FISH name so far but while in the NRO last
September I did track back from the marriage entry in the Seething register to
see if I could find the baptism of either - no success. So this means trawling
through all the likely registers until they turn up. I have little doubt that
once it 's possible to get back another 2 or 3 generations all the FISH in the
Loddon area will turn out to be closely related, since there are not that many.
Although I can't be any direct help to you at present, we should bear each other
in mind for future reference. Is this the sum total of the information you
have, and what is the source?

I haven't previously come across Sparr(ow)hawk as a forename and I wonder what
prompted it. Jeremiah FISH, who was the gamekeeper at Broom Farm, Chedgrave in
the mid-19th c christened 3 of his sons John Pilot, George Dolphin and Salmon.
How they must have laughed down at his local.
