I am looking for information on the families of my
great-great-grandparents, Charles Johnson, born 1831, Kings Lynn,
Norfolk, and Ellen Girling, born 1837, in Norfolk. They migrated to
Australia in 1858, and were married in Sydney, before settling in
Corowa, on the Murray River.

Charles had two older brothers, William and Frank, who went to
California. William finally settled in Monterey, where his descendants
still live. (I met some of them in 1993). Frank died in San Francisco,
I think without decendants.

Any help on how to trace their Norfolk history would be appreciated.
