My grandfather John HALLS married Mary Jane HALL in Wallingford,
Berkshire in 1890 when he was 28. On his marriage certificate he gives
his address as Finchampstead, Berkshire and his father as John, a
coachman.

In 1891 at Finchampstead he is 29 and gives his birthplace as West
Dereham, Norfolk.

He died in 1944 aged 82.

All these dates are consistent with a birth in 1862 and a Jonathan HALLS
was born in West Dereham on 18 March 1862 - parents Jonathan HALLS and
Mary Ann (NORMAN).

On the 1851 Index there is a HALLS family living at West Dereham - John,
his wife Mary A and a daughter Rachael aged 2 and a son William H aged 6
(or should it be 6 months?) all born West Dereham.

Does anyone recognise this family or have any further information that
would help me?
