Regarding the Black Death in Norwich, Frank Meeres says in his book 'A
History of Norwich' 'Plague never came back after 1666, and smallpox was the
most feared disease of the later 17th and 18th centuries. There was an
outbreak in Norwich in 1669-70 ..........There was another outbreak in
1681-2'.
This is an excellent book, I often see topics on the list which are covered
in the book to some degree. It deals specifically with Norwich and not the
whole of Norfolk and covers the history from 925 to present day. ISBN 1
