I have a copy of Arthur Mee's "The Kings England" 1949 version for
Berkshire. I'd be happy to check up for anyone looking for a Berkshire
reference. Juanita is quite right that only specific reference is made to
individuals. For instance William Penn, Quaker founder of Pennsylvania is
listed as having died in the village of Ruscombe. This is the next village,
a very short distance from Hurst, where my Quaker PASSMORE ancestors
originated. Thus I found the fact interesting. The series is full of little
"snippets" of information, often describing monuments and local churches.
