Vidar,
It took about 1 and 1/2 years to finish all 971 pages, but that isn't 8 hour
days. Sometimes I'd skip a few days and work short hours. But you have to
keep at it because you get to know the people and keep a lot of information
in your head when it comes to cross referencing. It is definately a one
person job and I don't think it could be completed by a committe without
getting all kinds of duplicate records.
The only posting about it is on the Årdal kommune's pages at
www.sffarkiv.no/test/neil.htm. The libraries in Årdal have the data base up
and running, so if you ever get out that way you can take a look at it.
