Just to inform you readers that I have the Holt Bygdebok I and II, of which
the last one had a 26 page long presentation of Anders' father, Torje
Tallaksen Holtsmyra. A 'bygdeoriginal' who did invent lots of things, but
of which was unfortunately not so much appreciated by the other people.
It is a reprint of an article that was written by J.R. Reiersen and printed
by O.N.O. SKottevig, Tvedestrand 1927 and reprinted in 'Dengang på våre
kanter' 1981, yearly print published by Tvedestrand & omegn Historielag.
Torje made a house that was more like a Gothic castle. He invented a doll
that was able to move and many other things, unfortunately not so much
appreciated by the other people in the valley of Holt.
I have written Pamela, and I did find a lot of ancestors on her other
Norwegian ancestors :-) These ahnentafels are just to big to print here, so
I have sent her these privately. (I know, I know Karla, but when the
ahnentafels contain more than 1000 ancestors, it is too big here :-)
If you have ancestors in Holt, Søndeled and evt. in Vegårshei, rather tell me.
