<< but the person I'm looking for, John A. Lund
(1859-1915), married into the family in Harmony, Minnesota >>

A glance at my book "Let's Have Harmony, A Centennial History" published in
1996 and available in stores at Harmony, mentions your J.A. Lund. (page 27).
"In mid April of 1914 a Pool Hall was opened in the J.A. Lund building .....".

On the 31st day of December, 1895, a certain J.A. Lund, Tollef Sanderson, and
William Bollman appeared before a notary to incorporate the Village of
Harmony. (page 164).

It appears that your J.A. Lund was quite an influential individual in Harmony.
I am sure he knew my g-g-g-grandfather stein Nielsen Ben (born 1790) and his
son Niels. He probably knew my g-g-g-grandfather Tov steinsen Kaase too.

Saving the best for last, a picture of John Lund appears on page 22.
