Congratulations Karla

Hello BJ,
Many thanks to you for the nice notice. You have touched upon the real
purpose of the Norwaylist. To learn about Norway and its history, and our
own genealogy if were lucky. To have our base grow, so that their are many
people from many areas, all generously sharing knowledge about resources
and other special subjects they have an interest and knowledge about,
is wonderous and magical and beautiful.

Much gratitude to all my fellow Norwaylisters for contributing your
talents, time, and caring to this little bit of magic happening here on the inner net.
My special thanks have to mention my pixies who volunteered to help
me when I wanted to expand into other areas of Norway besides just a list.

My good friend Kevin volunteered to help with Technical Problems and
Maintenance on both the list and webpage.

My brilliant and kindhearted
2nd cousin Lou Halsan volunteered to run the Pix and Scan Club for me
and its become a huge success under his guidance. Many take Lou! He has
also carefully sent out a Norwegian joke for us daily, which has been a huge
hit with both the US lifters and the Norwegian lifters, who were not familiar
with the Ole and Len a jokes before. Ole and Len a were invented by an
American humorist as a way of poking fun at himself.

Neil Hofland is a natural born humoroist, friend, and gifted historian who has spearheaded
the drive for posting Norwegian History to the internet and to our list. He
has taught me more about Norwegian history than I ever knew about
American history. He also has made me laugh more than any other human being.

For support on issues Debbie Chan has been a good friend, and also a very big
help on downloading and sharing Neils offerings and many other tasks that have come up,
such as editing the webpage. Purely great what she fixed up for me.

And
Ellen our Tolken advisor had made it possible for all of us to have a Norwegian
dictionary of 15,000 words and even taught us how to use it. Thanks for all
your hard work on this project Ellen.

John Follesdal,Linda Schwartz. Michael Landmark, whos special articles on the
2nd World War in Norway are now posted on our webpages, all, have shared their
love of Norway by contributing so much to others with their websites and postings.
These are just a few who have worked on the Website and list. Many others
are creating magic behind the scenes everyday.

Lets all enjoy the twinkling of fairy dust, the tip toes of pixies and trolls,
and the joy of sharing with each other. Magic Does Happen. It did right here on Norway List.

Much love to all
Karla Halsan Mattila
Norwaylistowner
