* sold out, but luckily on my own shelf.
You also mentioned the family name DUE:
There are two books:
Due [db] Due, E.C.: Slægten Due fra Trondhjem. 1897.
Due [ep] N.V. Due: En Due-række med hustruer. DK 1854
plus the article on "DUE fra Trondheim" in "Norsk Slektskalender" vol. 2*
(1951) pages 66-80 covering the descendants of Lars Olsen and Lisbeth
Olsdatter from Forssa (taking the name DUE inspired by the name of the
nearby village Duved) in Åre, Jämtland (now Sweden) who had a son Ole
(1696-1755) who with his brother Jonas came to Trondheim and established
himself as a merchant ship's captain and later "konsumptionsbetjent" [tax
collector] in Kristianssund N.
I'm having dinner tomorrow with Reidar Due (former president of Unilever in
Denmark) and shall ask him about his relations - maybe you're his
xyz-cousin? :-))
Best regards
