Since you are researching Hopperstad is there a connection to the following?

1. AMUND BOTOLVSEN (BALAFSEN/BALLEFSEN/BALFSAZ ?) HOPPERSTAD

(Uncle to Ole Amundson)
Married: INGA & AMUND did not marry but it appears from a 1958 bygdabok
that Amund married someone else. The book says that 4 of his
children from his marriage came to America but all returned to
Norway.
Mother of Ole: INGA (STALHEIM) JOHNSDATTER (John's daughter)
Born: January 11, 1854 (1855-from Ole's confirmation document)
Died: February 1, 1936 or 1937 at 83 yrs of age.

2.a. OLE (OLA, OLAV ?) AMUNDSON HOPPERSTAD (HOPPERSTEAD)
Born: November 19, 1883 at Hopperstad, Vik-j-sogn, Norway
Died: December7, 1965 of old age (82) in a rest home in
