Just a note on the Canadian comment -- unfortunately, even in the U.S.,
Santa and Christmas appears right after Halloween. At least in Canada, you
probably get to celebrate Thanksgiving and then move into Christmas. In the
U.S., Thanksgiving is almost lost due to Christmas being pushed ahead.
Unfortunately, Christmas has become very commercialized in the U.S. and much
of the true meaning, i.e. the birth of our Savior, has taken a "back seat."
