Hi Thea,
if you havn't been to this west - southern corner Norway you should take the chance. You can visit a lot of places just within a circle of 50 km.
You can visit the Stavanger Domkirke which is from 1125 and there are several smaller churches from the same time.
The Norwegian Emigration Centre is actuallay more a place to get help with your geneology than a museum. They have lots of resources and the kind people there are very helpfull.
