Thank you for the link to the Carlsø parish. My next task seems to be to
locate the names of those who were alive in 1801. I regret I did not show
an interest in geneology when most of my relatives were living and could
tell me of their past.

Hello Lise,
The official name on Skarmok seems to be Reiervik (earlier Reiervig). In
1865 it's Reiervik (Skarmok).

This is a pretty complicated area when it comes to parish and municipality.
First the municipality part:
Between 1901 and 1964 it's in Ullfjord municipality. Ullfjord was parted out
from Lyngen in 1901.
Ullfjord merged with Tromsø with effect from Jan 1 1964.

So the clerical district:
Prior to Jan 1 1867 this area (Sørfjord) is in Karlsøy (Carlsø) parish, but
from this date Sørfjord (later called Ullsfjord) is transferred to Lyngen
parish. Prior to this change many people in the area had for decades been
using the Lyngen church. You may therefore have to check the churchrecords
for both parishes.

Censuses:
1801: Rejervig in Carlsøe:

ket/ft1801/f11936&variabel=4&postnr=1354&fulle=true&spraak=

(Finmarken amt includes both Troms and Finnmark).

1865: Reiervig and Reirvig (both spellings) in Carlsø

1900: Reiarvik, Reiervik and Reiervik (Skarmok) in Lyngen
