Post Thanksgiving Greetings to All,
Now that our Yankee turkey day is past, some of us are just now
turning our attention to the next holiday. I am no great expert on
Norwegian Christmas tradition, but is not today, December 1st, the
traditional day that all of those wonderful Christmas lights are put up
in windows all across Norway? We had the most precious experience last
December when we were able to experience the Christmas holidays in
Norway first hand. We will never forget the great number of electric
candelabras we saw in practically every window in Norway. I think that
the term used for these was "7 arma Lysestake" - am I right? We are
putting our lights in the window today.
For those new to the List or any others curious about a California
couple's winter visit to Norway, my wife and I invite you to visit our
web site devoted to our 18 days in southwest Norway last December. You
can find there many photos, not only of our great experiences, but of
local holiday decorations and fantastic food! The URL is:

This year, as we stay home in northwestern California, we will be
enjoying fond memories of the holiday season we had in Norway last year.
We send our warm holiday greetings to all of you, wherever you may live.
Keith
