My first thought was that if Harriet Burns was really born in Norway, she was probably the daughter of Bern or Bernt (or
something close)
And Bernsdatter/Bernsen got "Anglicized" to Burns.
You might have had a Johan Hensen (could certainly be Norwegian) married to Harjet Bernsdatter, for example.
The timing on when they left Norway is very poor, between census.
I find ancestors are very difficult that way. They did not wait for the census before emigrating :-((

Yes, never give up. I have seen the members of this list solve some incredible mysteries.
Send the list every little tidbit of information you have ever come across about your G-Grandmother and also all the
siblings of Grandma Harriet Henson. Names mean a lot in Norwegian traditions. Harriets siblings names might be very
important clues.
