In this case I think it might be necessary to ignore the index and look
at the census pages themselves. Perhaps the writing or copy was so poor
that the folks making the index could not read the writing. I will
attempt to look at Centerville/Stanwood for Jorgensens perhaps others
who have access can assist as well. Did you mention that you knew the
names of other children?? It may help to look for the family unit by
first names instead of the Jorgensen name.
