I do believe you are correct in looking for Pastor Hagen and not Pastor
Rue. Margarite's father was William Martin Hagen according to this
family tree and he is in my book Norsk Lutherske Prester i Amerika,
1843-1915. He was in Minnesota part of the time and I do believe he is
probably the one who married your Peder and Olga Fostervold. He was in
Minneapolis from 1913 - until this book was published.
I will scan you his section and send you.

In looking at this Rue family tree, Sylvia died in 1978 possibly in
childbirth as she has the same death date as her youngest child who was
born on died on the same date, see below.

Jean,
I had found that, much to my dismay, that just can't be right. 2 of my
aunts remember Sylvia telling the story, my biggest lead on the actual
marriage! Maybe it was the wife of Sylvester that was the flower girl.
Then I would be looking for a pastor Hagen. Will see what I can come up
with that name.
Thanks,
Nancy
