Fatal Effect of Burns
Michael SKELTON,living in the Eastern District, died at the Chambers street
hospital, New York, yesterday, from burns received by the explosion of a
kerosene lamp at 64 Water street, on Saturday.
Attempts at Suicide
Frank PROUGHS,of 59 DeKalb ave., while confined in the Ninth Precinct
Station-house for intoxication on Tuesday night, attempted to commit suicide
by hanging himself with a suspender. He was cut down in time to save his

Henry FORD, a German, aged forty years, formerly a janitor in Wall street,
New York, being without means, hung himself last night in the lodging room
of the Eight Precinct, but was cut down in time to save his life.

Boy Drowned.

Two boys named Henry Beinhauser and Guido Kebrweider while bathing yesterday
at the "cid mill", New Lots, got beyond their depth, Beinhauser was rescued
by Gotfried Kern, of 13 Marion street, but Kebrweider was drowned. Kern
recovered the body, which was sent to the residence of the boy's parents, in
Atlantic avenue, East New York.
