Surname: Martine, Bandoine, Flanagan
-------------------------
Looking for any info on the family of John F. Martine b. abt 1832 Brooklyn
Kings Co NY. I suspect his parents were Theodore Martine of Westchester
Co NY and Matilda Flanagan of Brooklyn, but can't yet verify. John Martine
married Margaret or Mary Margaret Bandoine around 1855. The Bandoines were
also from Brooklyn.
My John F. Martine moved his young wife to Yorkville, Racine Co WI. They
are present in the 1855 and 1860 Yorkville WI census, as well as my great
grandfather Charles Martine. John's wife is listed as Mary age 25 b. NY.
They are the ONLY Martine family in Racine Co WI during that time period.
During the Civil War John F. Martine of Yorkville enlisted in the Union
Army Dec 17, 1861 as corporal 2nd Wisconsin Cavalry Company G. He was wounded,
disabled and discharged by May 1862.
This Martine family does not appear in the 1870 Yorkville WI census, and
I do not know what happened to them
Anyone connected with this family contact me directly.
