I would like to get information on how to obtain copies of adoption records
for the 1870s period. My great grandmother, Barbara Roslein, had two children,
Margaretha and Adam, by her first husband Balthasar Stegmann. These two
children were subsequently adopted by her second husband, Jacob Geenen,
around 1876-1880. They lived on Humboldt Street in Brooklyn, Kings County.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
