I sent for the certificates almost 10 mo. ago.
and when I called to inquire they told me they have to be passed away for
40 yrs. before they can release it to me. but I thought that did not apply
to direct descendents. please reply

Hi Mike, I had NO problem getting my fathers death certificate and he died
in 1972 and it only took 5 weeks to get it in the mail. good luck, patty
