Trying to find the FLEETWOOD - CREGIER - STRYKER families who lived in
Brooklyn:
BURDITT FLEETWOOD (1706 Liverpool - abt 1741? N.Y.) married MARGRIETJE
CREGIER on December 26, 1737 in the Dutch Reformed Church in Brooklyn,
New York. Burditt was a mariner who ran a merchant/passenger ship between
New York and southern ports, including Savannah, Georgia and Charleston,
S.C.
Burditt and Margrietje had the following known children: JACOBUS FLEETWOOD
christened in the Dutch Reformed Church (DRF) in 1738; MARGARET FLEETWOOD
christened in 1740 in the DRF; and MARY FLEETWOOD christened in 1743 in
the DRF and was married to HENRY STRYKER on December 12, 1761 in the DRF.
This is the last/only information I've been able to locate on this family
and could really use some help finding them. Since Burdit died when the
children were babies, his widow may have/probably remarried making it tricky
to find the FLEETWOOD children. Or...perhaps, there were other Fleetwood
families in New York that they went to live with...or Margrietje Fleetwood
moved in with her Cregier family?
Would really appreciate some help on this one...not sure where to look.
Thanks a million!
