John WARD, born 1835-6 Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, where he married Elizabeth
Jane PHILLIPS about 1867. Had three children, his wife and two children
died young. After his family member's deaths in Halifax, he left his other
daughter with family and moved to the States, possibly NY and later married
Jane Smith INNES. He used alias John WILLIAMS in military, applied for
pension in 1888, prob. in CA, listed as from NS. He ended up in CA after
war, died in San Francisco, CA in 1919. His sister, Margaret, born 1835,
married William KEYBURN(E) 1850 in Halifax, left shortly after for NY city.
After his death, she married Mr. ROBERTS. He died before 1892, she lived
at 23 Sholes St., Brooklyn in 1892. She died after 1903. Searching for
info on any of these lines, descendants etc. Have info to share. Their
father, John WARD Sr., may have been adopted, his actual surname is believed
to be ABBADI, from Italy. Have info to share. email:
