My greatgrandfather, William H. Chapter, was born in Brooklyn, NY. His
wife, Mary Pauline Johnson Chapter, was born in Maryland. She passed away
in 1919, and the father put his children in the Brooklyn Industrial School
Association and Home for Destitute Children. They were:
Florence, Henry, Lester, Leona, Edna, and Mildred.
Leona and Mildred rode the Orphan Train to Texas. Edna lives in South Carolina.
If anyone knows about this family, what happened to William, please contact
me.
