DEATH OF AN OLD CITIZEN
Peter Weber, for many years a resident of Louisville, was touched by
death's restless hand, Saturday morning, and peacefully passed away. He lived
beyond the allotted time of man and was seventy-four years old at the time of
his demise. He had been sick since March 1st. but his end was hastened by a
stroke of paralysis on the day before he died. Since the death of his wife,
which occured about five years ago, he made his home with his daughter, Mrs.
Edward Menegay, and it was there that he died.
Peter Weber was a native of Germany but early in life came to America.
Most of his years were spent in Louisville where he was engaged as a
blacksmith. He was the father of eight children, seven of whom are living.
They are Messrs William and John Weber and Mrs. Edward Menegay, of
Louisville; Mrs. Emma Frantz, Mrs. Frank Sebot, Miss Carrie and Joseph Weber,
of Canton.
The funeral services were held at St. Louis Catholic church, Monday
morning and were conducted by Rev. Senner. The remains are interred in St.
Louis Cemetery south of Louisville. (Date of death, 19 April 1902)
