Mary Edith McKee-Conrad was born August 27, 1896, and after a brief illness
of one week, was summoned from earth on April 21, 1931. She was the daughter
of Gladys N. and Robert J. McKee. Mrs. Conrad was born near Danville, Knox
Co., where her childhood and early youth were passed. She received her
education in the schools of that community.
On Dec. 25, 1915 she was united in marriage with Albert H. Conrad. In
the year following, they located; in the vicinity of Perrysville and
re-sided there at the time of her death. They were the parents of seven
children, Margaret, Gerald, Ilene, Kenneth, Gladys, Betty and Richard, all
at home. These children together with father and husband, her parents and
two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Toms and Mrs. Rheva Hartshorne mourn her loss.
Mrs. Conrad was a loving wife and mother, deeply absorbed in her
family's welfare, she considered no gift of time and energy too great that
added to the comfort of her loved ones.
Mrs. Conrad was baptized by her pastor, Rev. Geo. M. Schrack of St.
John's Lutheran church. The funeral services were held Friday afternoon
from the M. E. church of Perrysville and interment was made in Greenlawn
cemetery. Rev. Geo. M. Schrack conducting the services which were largely
attended by relatives and friends.
