Listmembers:
Do not panic about the recent virus warnings to the Pace Mail List.
Rootsweb, the host of the mail lists, long ago established the policy of not
allowing attachments to be posted to mail lists. My understanding is that
viruses are virtually always transmitted as an attachment to an email, so the
Rootsweb policy prevents these viruses being transmitted to any listmembers.
The key thing to remember to prevent downloading a virus is: Do not open any
attachment to an email unless the subject of the email explains what the
attachment is! Also, it is unwise to open an attachment from an unknown
source.
