Yes, all three sons (that we know about) have been documented as moving to Clarke Co, AL. John and Dempsey moved there in 1809 and William in 1822. All three died in Clarke Co.
Yes, the DNA evidence shows no connection to the John of Middlesex group. We still lack a DNA sample from the younger son, Dempsey, but I see no reason to doubt the old sources.
Alabama is a large state and Clarke Co is down in the SW corner. There were a number of other Paces in other parts of Alabama, especially in the NE part of the state, quite a long way from Clarke Co. And there were other Paces in central Alabama - I think that Carrie Pace's group (Edmund?) were there. So, I would not give up on connecting your Paces to Alabama though it doesn't look like they fit in with the Clarke Co Paces.
